Ariadne was born on 18 January 1982 in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, where she lived with her family. At 17 she decided to go to Madrid to study psychology. At the same time that she studied in this city, she started fashion casting to help herself with her studies. Destiny wanted the prestigious photographer Bruce Weber to choose her for starring Abercrombie & Fitch Campaign. Following her master’s advice, she tried at the American market, working for numerous fashion magazines such as Vogue, Marie Claire and Glamour for some years. Furthermore, she did numerous beauty campaigns and she also moved to New York during the first years of her career.
In 2006 she was chosen Revelation Fashion Model by Glamour Magazine and one of the prettiest women of the Fashion world, according to GQ magazine, of which she has been on the cover several times. Likewise, Roberto Cavalli has chosen her as the image in some of his projects and she is a real benchmark in the fashion world where designers always want her in the front line of their fashion shows.
After ten years without stopping working with the best photographers in the world such as Walter Chin for Italian Vogue, Russell James, Bruce Weber, Nico, Outumuro, Giampaolo Segura, Adam Franzino and even the very and unique Bryan Adams to Spanish Vogue, she has starred uncountable cover pages for the best headlines among which Elle, Harpers Bazaar, Cosmopolitan, Glamour, Marie Claire, Telva and Instyle are to be mentioned and she has worked for a widespread and important international and national companies.
Ariadne reinvents herself every year and is still working at a high level with the current international fashion models. Along her career, Ariadne has been able to portray her learning in fashion design into two clothes collections that have been given her own name and have become a great success in sales throughout Europe.
On December the 31st Ariadne gave birth to her first daughter to whom her parents decided to call like her mother.
In the same year, she launches into the market @lavidamadre, her first project focused on maternity. In less than one year, she achieved to create a big group of mothers who praise this new and funny way of seeing maternity.
Always committed with solidarity causes, Ariadne designed, exclusively for Swaroski company, 800 crystalized t-shirts for charitable purposes which went completely to FERO Foundation.
In 2019, Ariadne Artiles Western Collection x Pikolinos came up to light, the model’s first shoe collection. Moreover, for the end of this 2020 the new collection edition is planned to come up. One of the main values that joins Ariadne to Pikolinos is social and solidarity commitment. With them she carried out the Maasai Project through Juan Perán Foundation.
Likewise, Ariadne is nowadays ambassador to Aladina Foundation whose aim is to help children and adolescents suffering from cancer and their families.
She is also part of the CRIS Foundation against cancer, who gives Ariadne the CRIS 2020 Award in the Amiga (Friend) Category, as an acknowledgement to her unconditional and generous friendship and for being already part of CRIS, helping them raise funds to continue moving towards the end of this disease.
For this year Ariadne is planned to publish her first book, together with Planeta Editors, a book about her personal experiences and her healthy lifestyle.
Nowadays, Ariadne continues actively searching for new challenges, fighting for improving herself day after day and being always loyal and faithful to her way of seeing life.
